On of the factors is education. The level of education of course affects salaries. The higher your education is the higher salary you can expect. In fact, you need to take at least some CNA classes in order to be employed. More classes means higher salary. It directly affects your salary level. So if want higher salary, do not hesitate and quit saving on your education level.

Another factor is your work experience. Experience plays a very important role in CNA salary level. Workers without any experience cannot expect getting anything other than minimum salary. Every year of experience can add up to 5% to your basic salary. In some cases it can be even more. Besides providing a higher salary the experience can help you find a better job place quite easy. Along with experience important role is played by references. Good reference is a very strong and useful key to getting a higher salary.

One more factor is Location and Setting because CNA salary directly depends on where you work. Salary varies from hospital to hospital and state to state. Some states have a higher cost of living, but usually in such states wages are higher. Also salary depends on working conditions. In some cases conditions are difficult and you can expect a higher salary compared to a place where working environment is not as tough. Also it depends on whether you work for a non-profit organization, a big company or some kind of private practice. Private practice companies usually pay less.
